VOICE FROM YOUNGER GENERATION
The Youth camp held annually, allowing young people aged 18 to 35 who aspire to speak up for Taiwan to expand Taiwan's international space through hiring lecturers with international advocacy experience and advocating organizations working diligently in various fields of citizen diplomacy. This aims to cultivate youth to try various channels to promote Taiwan's participation in the international community. Through such capacity-building methods, Taiwanese youth gain a better understanding of the land they grow up in, and pass on the spirit of loving their homeland and home to the younger generation, striving together for Taiwan's future.
The 15th Youth camp was held from February 3rd to 4th, 2024. This seminar featured a special presentation by the Ambassador of Palau to Taiwan, who discussed the relationship between the two countries. Additionally, Dr. Shu-Hwa Shi and Dr. Cheng-Che Tu, who participated in the "Taiwan Engagement in WHO Advocacy Delegation" in Geneva, Switzerland, shared their experiences. Furthermore, several diplomatic associations and the Chinese Cultural Association were invited to introduce young participants to how to engage in citizen diplomacy beyond official channels, through non-governmental organizations or platforms in various fields, and to promote Taiwan to other countries in innovative ways.
